This is a sepia-toned 19th Century Cabinet Card of a Woman with an Umbrella. The 5.5" x 4" photograph (on a 6.5"x 4.375" cardboard backing with rounded corners) shows a woman leaning on an umbrella in front of a backdrop of the beach where there is an abandoned boat and an atmospheric sky. There is also a smaller painted cutout of rocks and fake grass below her feet. She is wearing a dress with striped panels, cuffs, and collar; pleated front; and large bustle. Her hat has a large white feather and scarf and her dark gloves are fingerless. She looks off the side of the photographer with a slight smile. The front of the card is printed: "Potter Mansfield, O." This 19th Century Cabinet Card of a Woman with an Umbrella is better than fair condition. The photograph is clear without fading but does have some spotting at the top edge and on the woman's face. Ideal for use in art project.
