This is a set of identical 1957 Map End Papers from Hammond's Ambassador World Atlas, published by C. S. Hammond & Co. of New York. Each end paper measures 14.125" high by 10" wide and has been printed in shades of green. The image shows an engraving of the Greek mythological figure Atlas in a sparse hilly landscape holding a club in his right hand and supporting the world on his left shoulder with his left hand. The globe has a 7.625" in diameter map of the world from the perspective of looking down from the North Pole. These 1957 End Papers from Hammond's Ambassador World Atlas are in Good condition. One has noticeable wear along the border and the other has indentations as if someone has traced the illustration. Ideal for use in collage.
