    This is a pair of 11" by 7.75" 1952 End Papers from The Golden Treasury of Natural History by Bertha Morris Parker, published by Simon and Schuster.  Each end paper is unique, showing illustrations from astronomy, botany, biology,  and geology.  One end paper has images of the sun and the solar system; erupting volcanoes; a dinosaur, crab, squid, starfish, worm, elephants, and microbes; and ferns and flowers.  The other has images of the life cycles of a dragonfly, a frog and a peach tree, as well as drawings of mushrooms and corn.  The end papers have been printed on heavy weight off-white paper in rich colors, which have not faded.  One has an inscription ("To Stephan with love from Aunt Lu Christmas 1953") on back.  Illustrator is unknown.  These 1952 End Papers from The Golden Treasury of Natural History are in very good condition with no damage or wear.
