The 1950s Christmas Angel and Santa with Holly Bodies are an unusual pair of holiday tabletop decorations. Each, measuring 7" high by 4.5" to 5" wide, has a solid head covered with a woven paper; applied hair or beard; a sinuous wire body (with glossy, deep green holly leaves; red, orange and yellow round and oval fruit; and two red candles); and a round wooden based covered with shimmering snow. The angel has a painted face with closed eyes and long lashes; arched black eyebrows; red dotted nostrils: and a red mouth opened in song. Yellow curly hair is applied across the crown of her head and has been topped with a gray beaded halo. The Santa has painted deep blue almond-shaped eyes and a three-dimensional red nose. A long white beard is attached to his chin and a red flocked hat with white pipe cleaner trim sits on his head. Both figures have a burgundy and white paper label reading "Made in Japan." These 1950s Christmas Angel and Santa with Holly Bodies are in good condition. There is wear to the surface of the fruit on both figures. The angel has several damaged leaves and one missing leaf.
