    This is a 1930 Book Cover from Joan of Arc, written by M.D. Holmes and illustrated by Edwin John Prittie.  Edwin John Prittie (1879-1963) was an illustrator of children's books and classics for the John C. Winston publishing company of Philadelphia between the years 1906 and 1932.  A tipped-in color illustration of Joan on horseback appears on the front cover, while his burgundy and white line drawings of scenes from her life appear on the inside of both covers.  The back cover is red book cloth.  Each cover measures 8.75" high by 6" wide and are connected by a 1.75" wide spine with "Joan of Arc," "Holmes" and "Winston" printed on it in gold.  This 1930 Book Cover from Joan of Arc is in very good condition.  Images are clean and unworn.  The spine does have some minor fading.  Ideal for art project.
