This item consists of ten 1926 Prints from Little Sallie Mandy and the Shiny Penny, written by Helen R.Van Derveer and illustrated by Bess Goe Willis. Bess Goe Willis (1871-1957) illustrated a number of Wee Books and executed the drawings for all five books in the Little Sallie Mandy series The stories center around Little Sallie Mandy who lived near the big dark woods and was constantly getting into trouble due to the mischief of her cat. Sally's rag doll joins them on the adventures. Each of these charming colorful illustrations measures 5.5" high by 4" wide with the illustration measuring 3.5" high by 2.5" wide. They have been printed on medium off-white paper which has slightly yellowed over time. The back of each contains the text. These 1926 Prints from Little Sallie Mandy and the Shiny Penny are in Fair to Good condition. All have some light staining on the borders (which does not affect the illustration) and page 17 has a 2" tear from the bottom left hand edge which goes 1" into the illustration. Ideal for use in collage or other art projects.
