These are the 1926 Book Covers from The Adventures of Billy: The Little Boy Who Wouldn't Undo His Own Shoes, written by Edith Wilson Bennett and illustrated by Ruth Holbrook.  The front cover shows a blonde female angel with Art Nouveau style flowing wings (yellow with deep pink veins), rising above a silhouette of rooftops into a pale blue sky filled with clouds and tiny, gold stars.  She has a deep pink star in her hair and she is wearing a long deep pink dress with a sinuous train.  A boy and a girl are seated in the middle of the tail of her dress, each holding on to the ends of her wings.  The separate back cover is solid deep pink.  The end sheets are off-white with no decoration.  Each cover measures 9.1875" high by 6.75" wide.  No information was found on the book, the author or the illustrator.  These 1926 Book Covers from The Adventures of Billy are in Good condition.  A small area near the title is worn away and there are vestiges of tape along the spine edge.  The edges of both covers are worn down to the cardboard, particularly at the corners.  The end sheets have light foxing.  Ideal for use in art.
