These 1924 Pictorial Maps of New York, Ohio, Texas, Washington and Oregon, and Wisconsin are from The American Educator, edited by Ellsworth D. Foster and James Laughlin Hughes and published by Ralph Durham Co. of Chicago. Each 9.5"x6.25" page has a map with State name and a colorful silhouette of the state with marked rivers. Four of the maps include the names of state capitols, primary cities and nicknames. The map of Texas is filled with the states of New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Maine, Illinois, Rhode Island, and South Carolina to emphasize its size. The map of Washington and Oregon does not include State nicknames. Each has illustrations of State Flowers; vegetable, fruit and grain crops; animals; landmarks and/or occupations (such as commerce, machinery, or quarrying) around and/or inside the silhouette. Detailed in blue at the bottom of the page are explanations of the illustrations. The maps are printed on a light-weight white paper with a glossy finish, which has slightly yellowed around the edges. These 1924 Pictorial Maps of New York, Ohio, Texas, Washington and Oregon, and Wisconsin are in Very Good condition. The maps of Ohio and Washington and Oregon have small stains in the upper left hand corner which do not affect the images. Ideal for use in art.
