These are intact 1913 Book Covers from Little Prudy's Sister Susie written by Sophie May and published by M.A. Donohue & Co., Chicago. Each gray-green book cloth cover measures 6.5" high by 4.75" wide, connected by a 1" spine. The front cover has a deep red and white embossed design of a little girl in a fancy dress with a white lace collar, white hair bow and decorative shoes, holding out two baskets of flowers with long ribbons. A floral wreath above her contains the book title and author's name in white. The spine has a similar basket of flowers with a red bow, as well as the title and author's last name in white. The back cover is unembellished gray-green book cloth. Interior has plain off-white papers which have slightly yellowed over time. These 1913 Book Covers from Little Prudy's Sister Susie are in Very Good condition. There is a small crease in the upper right hand corner of the front cover, some wear to the paint on the spine, and a small black stain on the back cover. Ideal for use in art.
