This item consists of 8 color 1907 Prints from Children's Stories from Shakespeare by E. Nesbit, published in London by Ralph Tuck & Sons, Ltd. Each print features famous characters from one of Shakespeare's plays and is taken from original paintings: Hamlet and Ophelia (Hamlet, Prince of Denmark), Ferdinand and Miranda (The Tempest), Romeo and Juliet, Titania and the Clown (A Midsummer-Night's Dream), Posthumus and Imogen (Cymbeline), and Katharine and Petruchio (The Taming of the Shrew) from paintings by J.H. Bacon; Rosalind, Celia and Touchstone (As You Like It) from a painting by Howard Davie; and Viola and Olivia (Twelfth Night) from a painting by Gordon Browne. All of the prints show active characters and have been reproduced in rich jewel tone colors. The images measure 7" high by 5' wide with an off- white border. All of these 1907 Prints from Children's Stories from Shakespeare by E Nesbit are in very good condition. Several have some small tears on the border, which do not affect the image.
