This is a set of 1903 End Papers of The Three Bears from Walter Crane's Picture Book, published by Cupples and Leon, N.Y. Walter Crane was an English artist and book illustrator, who was part of the Arts and Crafts movement. He is considered one of the most influential and prolific children's book creators of his generation in the late 19th century. Each of the end papers shows a scene in the house of the three bears: one in which Goldilocks is inside the tidy house of the three bears, who are seen in profile outside the window, and one in which the house is in disarray and the bears are making their beds with Goldilocks fast asleep in Baby Bear's bed. The end papers, measuring 10" high by about 8.5" wide, have been printed in turquoise on off-white medium weight paper, which has slightly yellowed over time particularly along the edges. These 1903 End Papers of The Three Bears from Walter Crane's Picture Book are in generally Good condition. There are some edge tears and light staining. Ideal for use in collage and other art projects.
