This item consists of fourteen World War II era military buttons made by the Waterbury Button Co. of Connecticut. Each slightly arched button is a deep steely gray metal with a relief of an eagle with spread wings standing on a shield that has another open winged bird and four arrows. The border has thirteen stars and a horizontally striated background. The back is a bright silver tone with an attached metal shank and embossed company name. Seven of the buttons measure 15/16" in diameter and seven are 10/16" in diameter. All are in very good condition, although they do appear to have been used and have minor wear.
