This boxwood bead was inspired by an antique Japanese ojime, a sliding bead on the cord of an inro box. It was hand carved by a contemporary Chinese Master-Carver. The bead shows a one-humped camel, standing with his ears down and his tail swished to one side. This camel stands 2.25" high by 1.25" wide by 1" deep. There is one hole for the cord at the back of the base. The carver has signed his name on the underside of the base. Never used; like new.
