This boxwood bead was inspired by an antique Japanese ojime, a sliding bead on the cord of an inro box. It was hand carved by a contemporary Chinese Master-Carver. The bead shows a two hump camel, seated with its four hooves and tail tucked beneath him. This camel stands 1.25" high by 1.75" wide by 1" deep. The two holes for the cord are beside his two front hooves on the underside of the bead. The carver has signed his name here as well. Never used; like new.
