These six Missouri Sales Tax Receipt Paper Tokens, also known as "Milk-Cap Tokens," date from around 1935 and were issued to collect sales tax when it came to tenths of a cent. Each measures 38 mm in diameter and is made of tan cardboard. The five in aqua have a 1-mill value and the one in orange has a 5-mill value with both showing the state of Missouri seal at the center. The backs are empty, which is characteristic of the earliest tokens of this kind. All are in very good condition.
