This old glass negative (4" by 3.25"), produced by the Visual Instruction Division of the New York State Education Department, shows Pictographs in a Seneca Bark House (1919). The pictographs include two men, a triangular animal head, a tree on a hill, a rounded house, a sun, a moon, and symbolic lines. (When the negative is held up to a light source, these images can be seen in detail and with more variations in tone.) The edges of the negative have been covered with black paper. In very good condition.
