This is the 1937 Book Cover from Sparks from a Thousand Campfires: Days and Nights with Fur Traders by Merlin M. Ames. The green cloth front cover shows fur traders and Native Americans smoking a pipe around a campfire. The illustration (artist unknown) is abstract with shadows in navy blue and highlights in bright yellow. The back cover is plain green cloth. Each cover measures about 7.75" high by about 5.5" wide and are connected by a 1" spine with simple text in navy blue and handwritten library coding in white. The interior is off-white, which appears to have yellowed, with the original check-out card and stamped "Summer School Library/ U.S. Indian School Santa Fe, N. Mex." There is also the remnants of a black, white and gray ex-libris. This 1937 Book Cover from Sparks from a Thousand Campfires is in very good condition with some minor surface wear at the edges.
