These Carved Carnelian Rabbit and Elephant Pendants were hand made in China. The rabbit, measuring about 1.375" long (35 mm) by 1" high (25 mm) by 0.25" thick (6 mm), is in a crouched position with outstretched front paws. A large round eye and simple line details have been incised on both sides. The elephant, measuring 1.125" long (28 mm) by 1" high (25 mm) by 0.25" thick (6 mm), is standing with the trunk curved up and the tail turned down. A small almond-shaped eye and simple line details have been incised on both sides. A ring has been carved at the top of each of their backs. Both have dark veining in this deep reddish-orange semi-precious stone. Age and makers are unknown. Both of these Carved Carnelian Rabbit and Elephant Pendants are in Very Good condition.
