These eight black and white illustrations were taken from the 1907 edition of Diseases of the Horse, published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Each page measures 9.125" high by 5.5" wide. The illustrations include: Abnormal Presentations of the unborn horse; Dislocation of Shoulder and Elbow (with Bourgelat's apparatus); The Sling in use; Bots in the stomach and in the duodenum; Quarter-crack and Remedies; Sound and Contracted Feet; Foundered Feet; and Bone Spavin. All are marked "Haines.del" and "Julius Bien & Co NY." In very good condition with minor edge wear/creasing and yellowing, which do not affect the images.
